Donna Conny

Donna Jean Conny, 83 of Sebring, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2014 at Auburn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Jean was born in Sebring on October 19, 1930 the daughter of the late Wayne and Lillian (Hartley) Heestand; she was a graduate of Sebring High School and retired from Morgan Engineering after 31 years of service working in the office. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Sebring and belonged to the Altar and Rosary Society, and was always found helping with the dinners and outreach missions of the church. She was also a Ladies Auxiliary member of the Alliance Elks serving as a member of the degree team, she participated in the Sebring Boosters Club and enjoyed spending time with her family attending various events to support them as well as taking the time to be outdoors working in the yard helping her husband keep everything beautiful.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years James “Jimmy” Conny of Sebring whom she married on June 15, 1957, a son James F. (Heidi Jean) Conny of Brunswick, OH, four grandchildren; Andrea Lynn Conny, James Anthony Conny, Ashley Marie Conny, Christan ReNae Conny and four great grandchildren; Sean, Reilley, Adysen and Landon. She is also survived by 2 sisters; Penny and Pat and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers of Auburn and the Alliance Hospice for their loving care and support of Jean.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Sebring at 11:00 AM with Fr. Thomas Dyer officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-8:00 PM and the 45 minutes prior to the Mass on Wednesday. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
