Doris Jones

Doris A. Jones, 71 of Sebring, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Alliance Community Hospital. Doris was born in Canton on September 24, 1938 the daughter of the late Elmer “Curley” Seymour and Bernice (Haines). Doris was a 1956 graduate of Canton McKinley high School and was employed by Americana Art, American Engravers and the Sebring VFW for many years; she was also a lifetime member of the Sebring VFW Auxiliary Post 6730. Survivors include her two sons; Joel Jones of Lake Waccamaw, NC, Todd (JoAnn) Jones of Sebring, three grandchildren; Briana and Tyler Jones of Sebring and Hunter Lewis of Riegelwood, NC. She is also survived by two brothers Gary (Darlene) Seymour of Canton and Harold “Bud” (Cheryl) Seymour of Stow. Services will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral home with Pastor Mike Kimball officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Sunset Hills in Canton. Memorial contributions can be made in Doris’ honor to the Sebring VFW Post 6730 and auxiliary. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
