Dorothy Ashworth

Dorothy M. Ashworth, age 60, of Beloit passed away at 9:00 PM Tuesday May 29, 2007, at her residence, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Ravenna, Ohio on December 10, 1946, to the late Cecil and Grace (Chapman) Porter II. She was a member of the Freedom Community Fellowship Church and was the former president of the Women’s Christian Flame of Portage County. She was a graduate of James A. Garfield High School in Garrettsville, class of ’65. Dorothy leaves behind her husband Ralph Ashworth whom she married on Aug. 27, 1965; three sons Ralph Ashworth Jr.;Jerry Ashworth and Cory Ashworth all of Beloit. Two sisters Irene (Jim) Laughery of Sebring; Brenda ( Park) Daley of Salem and a brother Clarence (Donna) Porter of Beloit; three grandchildren Alex Dana Ashworth; Hether Ashworth and Amber Early. Besides her parents she was preceded by an infant sister and a brother Cecil Porter III. Services will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, June 2, 2007 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Rev. James Hollingsworth officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 am to 12:00 PM prior to the service .Burial will be in Harrington Cemetery, Nelson Township, Ohio .
