Dorothy Crowe

Dorothy Crowe, 87, of Akron and formerly of Salem passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Akron City Hospital. Dorothy was born on April 10, 1925 the daughter of the late Alvin and Florence (Chandler) Fire. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Salem Community Hospital and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Salem. She was also a member of the Salem Book Club and the Nightingales. Survivors include her daughter Marcia Crowe of Cuyahoga Falls, OH and a sister Wilma Farmer of Tiffin, OH. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband William Crowe on July 19, 1979, and her son David. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Brown Funeral Home in Salem at 1:30 pm with Rev. Mike Prebynski officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 am till the time of service on Saturday. Burial will take place at Grandview Cemetery in Salem.
