Dorothy Peterson

Dorothy L. Peterson Dorothy L. Peterson, 77, of Beloit, passed away Thursday afternoon, at Crandall Medical Center. She was born Nov. 20, 1928 in New Kensington, PA the daughter of the late Thomas and Vinnie (Smith) Armitage. Mrs. Peterson was a Member of the First Church of God in Alliance, and was known for being an excellent seamstress; she also enjoyed preparing many meals for her family, church and friends. Dorothy is survived by her Husband John “Jay” Peterson of Beloit, two sons; Rodney (Dana) Peterson of Alliance, Lindsey (Barbara) Peterson of Hartville, a daughter-in-law Renee Peterson of Poland, her grandchildren Ryan (Addie), Bethany, Kendra, Michael, Scott and 3 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Tom (Mary) Armitage of PA. She was preceded in death by a son Jeff in 2002 and her two brothers Raymond and Charles. Services will be held at the First Church of God in Alliance on Monday, March 20th at 1:00 p.m. with Larry Murphy officiating, friends may call from 11:30 till the time of the service at the church. Burial will be in Hartzell Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to First Church of God, Alliance, OH 44601.
