Dorothy Santi

Dorothy M. Santi, 86 of Sebring passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, September 2, 2014. Mrs. Santi was born in Garver’s Ferry, PA on August 24, 1928 the daughter of the late David and Thelma Irene (Smith) Hildebrand. Mrs. Santi was the former co-owner of L and R Laundromat and was a member of the First Church of God in Alliance where she taught Sunday school for many years, served on WCOG (Women of the Church of God) and Church Women United. She was also a member of the Family Motor Coach Association, Good Sam Club and the Carnation Sam’s. But most importantly she enjoyed spending time traveling to watch her grandchildren participate in various sporting events.
Survivors include her daughters; Susan Elaine Johnson of Sebring, Judy (Chris Stitt) Stryffeler of Louisville, two grandchildren; Lisa S. (Jon) Snyder of Daphne, AL, Chad E. (Heather) Johnson of Sebring, six great grandchildren; Brittany (Adam Stanley) Snyder, Brandi Snyder, Zoie Snyder, Jayden Snyder, Luke Johnson, Lilliane Johnson and a great great grandchild Griffin Stanley. She is also survived by three sisters; Helen Jean Hamilton, Pat (Dean) Fry, Peggy Goff a brother Jacob Hildebrand and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John W. Santi whom she married on August 24, 1946 and preceded her in death in 2004, and a brother Sherman Hildebrand.
A funeral service will be held at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home in Sebring on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00PM till 8:00PM and the hour prior to the service on Saturday. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
