Duane Joy

Duane O. Joy, 72 of Salem, passed away on February 14, 2014 at Hospice House in Poland, OH. Duane was born in Lisbon on June 1, 1941 the son of the late Clinton and Thena Marie (Pugh) Joy; was a graduate of United High School and a member of the Church of Christ in Lisbon. Duane enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Catherine (Boso) Joy of Salem, a son John S. (Jill) Adams of Salem, 3 daughters; Judith Ann (Tim) Bickle of AZ, Vickie Lynn Dennison of Lisbon, Lisa Marie (Charles) Shafer of Salem and 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings; Glen, Gerald, Marvin, Darlene Matheny, Gary, Tim, Terry and Gale. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Merel and a great grandson.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Brown funeral home in Salem. Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:30- 11AM at the funeral home.
