"BEST FRIENDS" Mrs. Edna June Strain Bara passed away on May 23, 2009 at 12:30 pm at Crandall Medical Center after a long illness. Her beloved husband and caregiver Joseph Bara passed away on April 30, 2009. They were married on June 13, 1948. Mrs. Bara was born on Monday July 5, 1926 in Bolton , Ohio. She was the daughter of Dorothy Milo (Wetzel) and Ruskin McCausland Strain. A life resident of Sebring, June was a graduate of the Sebring's McKinley High School Class of 1945. During the Second World War she was employed at the Strong Manufacturing Company making canteens and mess-kits for the war effort. She was also employed at Taylorcraft Corporation and the McCaskey Register Company in Mount Union. Mrs. Bara was a member of the former Faith United Presbyterian Church. She served as a Sunday School instructor and as an Elder. At the time of her death she was a member of the Sebring Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Chancel Choir. June was preceded in death by her beloved son David Wayne Bara, her parents, two sisters and three brothers, Betty May Strain, Mrs. Lorin (Pauline Sarah) Stoffer, Charles Kenneth Strain, John (Jack Milo) Strain and Robert McCausland Strain, and her nephew, Kenneth Strain. Survivors include three sons; Mark Randall Bara and his wife Michele Susan Bara (devoted daughter-in-law), twins Brian Scott Bara and Craig Stephen Bara, two granddaughters; Devon Dawn Bara and Erin Lisa Walker. June is also survived by her sister-in-law Kathryn Cameron Strain and her cousin Donald Strain, and numerous nieces and nephews. At the request of Mrs. Bara, there are no calling hours. Family and friends are welcome to attend graveside services at Grandview Cemetery in Sebring on Wednesday May 27, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Services will be conducted by the Reverend Mr. Tom Palmer. The family requests that contributions be made to Alliance Visiting Nurses Association and Hospice, 855 South Sawburg Road, Alliance, Ohio 44601. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
