Edna Margaret Bjorkman, 93, of Beloit, peacefully went to be with her Lord on February 23, 2013. Edna was born on March 17, 1919 in Burkhart, Ohio the daughter of the late Charles and Gertrude (Crock) Zwick. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, a past member of St. Josephâs Church and its Altar and Rosary society, and the Ladies Legion Auxiliary #574. She received her 5 years of service pin for her volunteer work at The Concern and was the âSecond Pincherâ of pierogies at St. Annâs. Edna loved word searches, playing cards, especially euchre, enjoyed her independence and being able to drive her car but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughters, Marilyn (Glenn) Weishaar of Wagram NC, Darlene (Harold) Snyder of Salem and Nancy (Dave) Duncan of Alliance, two sons Clyde (Dot) Bjorkman of Walnut Port, PA, Ernie (Arlene) Bjorkman of Homeworth; thirteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, one great great granchild; a sister, Mary Kress, a brother Charles (Joanne) Zwick; two sister-in-laws, Jean Bjorkman and Betty Karlen. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clyde E. Bjorkman on August 4, 2000, whom she married on August 19, 1939, and a brother Carl Zwick and two sisters, Gertrude Sorg and Ella Smithberger. A funeral service will be held on Saturday March 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Ann Catholic Church officiated by Father Thomas Dyer.
