Edna Fryfogle

March 30, 1920 — January 1, 2015

Edna Fryfogle, 94 of Sebring, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at her home. Edna was born in Beloit, Ohio, on March 30, 1920, the daughter of the late Harry and Lottie (Barber) Haberland. A lifelong area resident, Edna was a member of North Benton Presbyterian Church, the George D. Worth American Legion Auxiliary Unit 574, where she served as President for 15 years, Past President's Unit 574 and Woolworth's retirees.
Many times we heard "Your mom is one-of-a-kind" and That she was. She was loyal to a fault and always put family and friends first and she came last. We will always remember her sense of humor and her many expressions that always made us laugh. She has helped us all through some rough times and was always there to listen but never gave advice unless asked for. Those who knew Edna knew her by her strong spirit and orneriness, which she exhibited until she was called to heaven. There is going to be a big empty spot in our family that cannot be filled but some part of her will always be with each one of us. We will see her smile, her sense of humor or loyalty in her grandchildren and great grandchildren and we will know that she is with us.
Survivors include her two daughters Jackie (Charles) Augustein, Connie (Howard) Rhoads both of Sebring; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" on January 6, 1989, and two sisters, Mary Yoder and Anabel Herold.
A funeral service will take place at 1:00 PM on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Rev. Herb Goetz officiating. Friends may call the hour prior to the service from 12-1 PM on Sunday. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
