Edna Schoeni

Edna Florence (Bandy) Schoeni , 93 of Sebring passed away on April 7, 2015 at Crandall Medical Center. Born May 11, 1921 to the late Leon and Florence (Duvall) Bandy in Alliance, Edna was a graduate of Alliance High School. She worked for Mahoning Valley, Purity, and Superior Dairies. Edna was executive secretary of Van Port Stone, Sand and Gravel, where she worked with husband Dale for 25 years. She was a lifetime member of Bethel United Church of Christ. Edna was a member of the Sebring Chapter of Eastern Star where she was a Past Worthy Matron, and also a Grand Page for Ohio Easter Star. Edna was a 75 plus year member of the Mile Branch Grange. She was a homemaker and a farm wife and enjoyed sewing, gardening and feeding her family and friends. She was a huge supporter of her children and grandchildren’s activities and always supported West Branch Schools.
Edna is survived by two sons, Thomas Schoeni of Louisville, KY, John (Pamela) Schoeni of Beloit and two daughters June (Robert) Wallace of Damascus and Jane (Gerald) Barth of Green Valley, AZ. She has six grandchildren, Anna Schoeni (Michael) Lesch of Beloit, Benjamin (Christina) Barth of Casa Granda, AZ., Andrew (Tomalin) Wallace of Reno, NV, Aaron (Whitney) Barth of McKinny TX., Todd Schoeni of Pittsburgh PA., Amy Wallace of South Lake Tahoe, CA. and nine great grandchildren Zachary, Zoe, Ella, Gunnar, Sawyer, Oliver, Max, Easton and McKinley. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dale whom she married on June 21, 1941, two sisters Elizabeth Woolf and Martha Bandy; brothers Harold Bandy and twin Eldon Bandy.
Services will be held Friday, April 10, 2015 at Bethel Church at 1:00 PM with Rev. Haan Phelps officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday. A private family burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Edna was blessed with a full and wonderful life and family. We are all grateful. Memorial Contributions may be made in Edna’s name to Bethel United Church of Christ, 25701 Buck Rd. Beloit, Ohio 44609.
