Edward Larry Barnes, 55, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 13, 2014. He was born in Salem on January 26, 1959 to Edward L. Barnes and Lorna (Hamilton) Barnes Borrelli.
Edward Ted was a familiar voice in the Low-Country of South Carolina where for many years he was a Christian Disc-Jockey for WKCL (We Know Christ Lives) Radio, in Ladson/Charleston, South Carolina; He also owned and operated a taxi-van service in the Greater Charleston area. Ted was awarded the prestigious and coveted Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Award for 3 consecutive years for his involvement in 7 forums and for authoring 31 tutorials. After returning to his native Ohio, he worked as a truck driver for AWL Transport in Mantua, OH hauling steel.
Survivors include his mother Lorna Barnes Borrelli of Salem, three children; David (Tanya) Barnes of New York, LeAnn Brewer and Lorna Ann Hedrick both of South Carolina, a brother James (Patty) Barnes of Louisville, KY, many aunts, uncles and cousins in the Salem area.
