Edward D. Jordan, a beloved father, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2023, at his home. Born on September 6, 1935, in Beloit, Ohio, to the late Charles and Marie (Beech) Jordan, Edward's life was marked by perseverance and kindness.

Edward is predeceased by his parents, his infant son Joseph Jordan, and five of his siblings: Charles (Stew) Jordan, David (Dottie) Jordan, Mary Jane Watkins, Doris Parson, and James Jordan. He is survived by his daughters, Jodie (Kevin) Brandt, NC and Angela (Bryan) Stoynoff, OH, grandchildren, Matthew Zucchero, NC and Leah Stoynoff, OH, his sister Jean Brienza, his sister-in-law Carol Jordan, and many nieces and nephews. He holds a special place in the hearts of his nephews, Donald Reese and James Jordan, who were always ready to lend a hand and spend quality time with him.

A 1953 graduate of Sebring McKinley High School, Edward was an all-around athlete and was selected as All Ohio Basketball. His love for sports continued throughout his life, not only as a spectator but as an active participant, especially in his favorite pastime, golf. Edward's athleticism and competitive spirit were only matched by his dedication and commitment to his career.

Edward served in the US Army Reserve, a testament to his patriotism and commitment to serve his country. He then went on to have a successful 32-year career at Columbia Gas, where he was respected and valued by his colleagues. Even after his retirement, Edward remained active, always finding ways to contribute to his community and stay connected with his friends and family.

Edward was known for his love of the outdoors, often seen working in his yard or tending to his garden. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life and had a particular fondness for animals, always ready to help a creature in need. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Memorial contributions can be made in his honor to the Northeast Ohio SPCA No-Kill Pet Shelter, 9555 Brookpark Road Parma, Ohio 44129 or Autism Society of Mahoning Valley 755 Boardman-Canfield Rd Suite D3, Boardman, OH.
