Eldis "Buzz" Imobersteg

Eldis Ray “Buzz” Imobersteg, 84 of Beloit passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 28, 2011. Buzz was born on May 8, 1927 on Wall St. in Beloit, the son of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Yaggi) Imobersteg; he was a 1945 graduate of Beloit High School. He entered the Army in December 1945, serving in Germany and was discharged in December of 1946. He was employed at B & W on Rush St. until the plant closed. He started selling cars at Ashley Chevrolet in Alliance and he then owned and operated V & E Motor Sales in Sebring for 25 years. He began selling cars at Parker Chevrolet and Cadillac (now Stadium) and retired in 2006 at the age of 79. Eldis was a life member of the Sebring VFW and George D. Worth American Legion and a member of Bethel United Church of Christ. Buzz is survived by his wife of 64 years, Valois Jane (Freshly) whom he married on April 28, 1947 in Leatlettsburg Kentucky; daughters Connie (Glenn) Willis of Salem, Kathy Collins of Boardman, Kay (Joe) Kalmer of Canfield; son Donald Imobersteg of Cuyahoga Falls; six grandchildren Shane Willis, Shawn Wiesemann, Megan Collins, Brei Miller, Liza Imobersteg and Alex Imobersteg; five great-grandchildren Evan & Aiden Wiesemann and Logan, Ava & Ashlyn Willis. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Elma Imobersteg Abele. A private service will be held with burial at Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Buzz’s honor to Beloit Rescue Squad, PO Box 68, Beloit, OH 44609. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home in Salem.
