Elizabeth Ann (Rohaley) Bissler, 86, passed peacefully on to Heaven after 11 years of outstanding care at St. Joseph Care Center in Louisville, Ohio, on July 13, 2015. She was born in Akron on November 17, 1928, the daughter of the late Francis A. & Margaret Ann (Casey) Rohaley. Betty was a 1945 graduate of Beloit High School and a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Sebring.

She lived and worked in Northeast Ohio most of her life and her first job was as a waitress at Heggy's in Alliance. Later she helped manage a family farm in Salem, worked in a Sebring pottery and contributed to the Korean War effort making missile shells in a factory, all with small children at home. She became a full-time mom and eventually raised a total of 8 children.

Betty loved babies and had plenty of them in her world over the years to brighten her life, including 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren who all survive her. She enjoyed singing, scuba diving, taking long rides and doing crossword puzzles. She remained sharp and witty to the very end.

She is survived by her 8 children: Melody (James) Scarpitti, Peggy (Terry) Speck, John (Faye) Reed, Sally (Charlie) Welsh-Chapela, William Reed, Robert (Rick Beck) Bissler, Mary Beth (Dean) Haubrich and James Bissler. She is also survived by sister Marlene Tuel. She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather Emmett Weiznecker, brother William Rohaley, sister Priscilla Sponseller, first husband Paul Reed and second husband Robert Bissler.
