Elizabeth Ann Nutt, 84, of Beloit passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring. Elizabeth was born in Alliance on January 8, 1927 the daughter of the late Enos and Violet (Strait) Heacock. She was a member of the Sebring Friends Church and during her lifetime worked at Alliance Manufacturing, Taylor Craft and several potteries in Sebring; she also worked at Maple Ridge School in the cafeteria. Elizabeth stayed very active throughout her life, she was involved with the West Branch Band Boosters helping with uniforms, and really enjoyed just volunteering for various things her children were a part of; at the church she was active in the Women’s Missionary Group, the Sebring Friends Camp for over 50 years where she took care of the cash register in the dining hall for 25 years. Survivors include her husband of 58 years James Nutt whom she married on February 26, 1953, 4 sons; Charles (Beth) Nutt of Baltimore, MD, Fred (Lisa) Nutt of Sebring, Timothy Nutt of Virginia Beach, VA, Russell (Jan) Nutt of Goose Creek, SC, a daughter Judy Nutt of Virginia Beach, VA, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Kirkland and a brother Robert Heacock. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 4, 2011 at the Sebring Friends Church at 11AM with Pastor Quint Bryan officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 to 7PM. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park.
