Elizabeth M. Stoffer, 93 of Salem formerly of Beloit, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Sterling House of Salem. Elizabeth was born in Knox Township in Columbiana County Ohio on March 18, 1917 the daughter of the late William F. & Sarah (Buckman) Grove; she was a member of Middle Sandy United Presbyterian Church in Homeworth. Elizabeth was an avid gardener and was always known to lend a helping hand. Survivors include her four sons John L. (Jane) Stoffer of Salem, Eugene W. (Jane) Stoffer of Alliance, Gary A. (Kay) Stoffer of Minerva, James A. (Brenda) Stoffer of Louisville; twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister; Kathryn E. Kelly of Bozeman, MO and two brothers George L. Grove of Beloit and Clifford L. Grove of Homeworth. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers John Grove, Robert W. Grove & Alfred J. Grove; three sisters Lela G. DeVall, Ada R. Albright & Hazel L. Kilchenman; two infant brothers Burton & Floyd and a grandson. Services will be held at 11AM on February 21, 2011 at Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church with Rev. Thomas Sawyer officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
