Elizabeth âBabeâ Zuber, 98, of North Benton, died on Thursday May 16, 2013 at her home. Formerly from Chagrin Falls, where she met and married her husband Earl C. J. Zuber, she was the daughter of Wilbur E. and May E. (Thomas) Van Valkenburg. She had many interests and hobbies. After her husbandâs death in 1969, she continued to operate the Elm Motel in North Benton until 1990 when she retired due to cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother Elwyn VanValkenburg, her sister Marguerite Kilgore of Rockville, Maryland and their only daughter Ann Ballantine. She leaves four grandchildren; Mimi Ballantine Baker of Phoenixville, PA, Melissa Pandin of Alexandria, VA, Meg Johnson of Louisville, KY and Peter Ballantine of Napa, CA; six great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren a niece Elizabeth Keller of Rockville MD and her longtime friend and caregiver Carol Schiffler. Graveside services and interment will be held at 11:00 AM on May 25, 2013 at Evergreen Hills Cemetery in Chagrin Falls.
