Elma Kerr passed away at her home on January 19, 2014. Elma was born on December 30, 1923in Garfield, Ohio the daughter of the late Frank and Florance (Irvin) Mather. Elma was a Lifelong member of Damascus Friends Church where she taught Sunday school, a member of the Fidelis Sunday school class and a member of the Young at Heart. She enjoyed gardening, working with flowers and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by three sons; Clifford Kenneth (Garrie) Kerr of Damascus, Frank (Eileen) Kerr of Carrollton, David (Paula) Kerr of Marion, IN three daughters; Florance Ferguson of Virginia Beach, VA, Linda (David) Peterson of Damascus, Kathy (Chris) Hanna of St. John, New Brunswick, 23 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Edna Greenawalt of Beloit. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clifford Kerr, two brothers Raymond and Earl Mather a sister Martha Flory and a son in law David Ferguson.
Services will be held at Gednetz-Ruzek funeral home on Friday, Jan. 24th at 12:00 PM. Friends may call at the funeral home two hours prior to the service. Burial will take place in Damascus Cemetery.
