Emily Cardinal

Emily (Burns) Cardinal, 90 of Sebring passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Crandall Medical Center. Mrs. Cardinal was born March 19, 1920 to Alex and Helen (Nellie) Burns in Uddingstown, Scotland. Emily, who brought joy to all who knew her, lived in the Sebring area most of her life. She was a member of the Sebring Presbyterian Church and the Alliance Senior Center Chorus. In past years she loved to bowl, golf, play cards and was an avid reader. Mrs. Cardinal is survived by five sons; George of Greensboro, NC, Tom (Cindy) of Sebring, Bill (Bettie) of Sebring, John (Chris) of Sebring, Mike (Ann) of Whitehouse, 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband George, son Timothy, daughter-in-law carol, her parents, a brother Alex Burns and a sister Betty (Burns) Steele. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 7, 2011 at 12:00 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home in Sebring with Rev. Susan Curtis officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home the hour prior to the service. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek funeral home in Sebring.
