OBITUARY
Ernest Jacob Grossniklaus

Ernest Jacob Grossniklaus, 61, of Beloit, Ohio passed away on Friday December 27, 2013 at Aultman Hospital. Ernie was born in Hamilton, Ohio on October 26, 1952. Ernie was the son of the late Chet Grossniklaus and Anna Mae (Zumbrunnen) Grossniklaus Weaver. Ernie was a 1970 Graduate of West Branch High School, attended The University of Akron and was employed at d-CON Products of Alliance for 23 years. Ernie was an Enrolled Agent and operated the Tax Stop of Beloit with his daughter Leigh Ann. Ernie was a member of Alliance and Sebring Lions Clubs since 1972, was active in helping organize area Leo Clubs of Ohio, and participated in 1840’s reenactments and black powder clubs. Ernie enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his mother Anna Mae Grossniklaus Weaver of Alliance, daughter Leigh Ann (Terrence) Brown, and grandchildren Jordan and Faith Brown. He was preceded in death by his father Chet Grossniklaus and stepfather Thomas Weaver.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home in Sebring, Ohio on Saturday, January 4, 2014 with Rev. Peter Mathewson officiating. A Lions Service will precede the memorial service at 10:45 AM with a time of greeting for family and friends at 11:00 AM. Ernie always encouraged his grandchildren to raise funds for charities. In lieu of flowers, please support Jordan and Faith’s Pilot Dog project for Jordan’s Honors English class. Donations can be made out to Pilot Dogs and mailed to Jordan Brown, 2913 Knox School Rd., Alliance, Ohio 44601. Entombment will take place in Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
