Ernest Duane Simmons, 48 of Louisville passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Ernie was born in Alliance on August 6, 1966 the son of David R. and Bertha Ruth (Steinwender) Simmons; he was a graduate of Marlington High School, and a US Army Veteran. He worked as a self-employed Machinist as well as for Canton Gear. Ernie enjoyed antique tractors, spending time enjoying the outdoors but most important to him was his time spent with his family and friends.
Survivors include his parents David and Ruth of Louisville, his wife of 21 years Penny (Hopton) Simmons whom he married on May 15, 1993, three children; Jonathan, Zachariah and Rebekah all of the home and four siblings; David (Debbie) Simmons Jr. of Michigan, Ruth Ellen Randles of Florida, Beth (Robert) Jordan of Virginia and Carol Simmons of Louisville, OH.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Gednetz-Ruzek funeral home in Sebring at 2:00 PM with Rabbi Paul Falk officiating.
