Evelyn Eichler

Evelyn Mae Eichler, 84, of Salem passed away on Monday, January 11, 2010 at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Evelyn was born in Braceville, Ohio in Trumbull County. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Salem and retired as the secretary of C. Eichler & Sons Hauling. She is survived by her son Richard (Pat) Eichler of Salem, a daughter Rubi Thompson of Alliance, 5 grandchildren; Susan, Nova, Charles, CJ, and Rhonda and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Donald Palmer of Salem. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Eichler whom she married on May 31, 1947, her daughter Linda Hamilton, a son Randall Eichler, a brother Gene Palmer and an infant brother. A Funeral Service will be held at Brown Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Leonard Moore officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 6-8 PM and also ½ hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Burial will take place in Hope Cemetery in Salem.
