Everett Richard Johnson, 80 of Beloit passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Salem Regional Medical Center.  Everett was born in Beloit on March 8, 1936. The son of the late Earl and Dora (Chapman) Johnson; he retired from Teledyne Monarch Rubber in Hartville as a press operator after 30 years. Everett was an Army Veteran and a member of the Sebring American Legion Post 76 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Louisville.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, playing cards, fishing and guns.

Survivors include: Linda Johnson King, son Kevin (Ann) Johnson of Shenandoah Junction, W.V., daughters Susan (Douglas) Miner of Beloit and Karen Green of Louisville. He is also survived by a brother Ben Johnson of Sebring and sisters: Gladys Grove of Georgetown and Pat Wyss of Beloit; 5 grandsons, 5 granddaughters and 1 great grandson, as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was proceeded in death by brothers: Earl, Bob, Bill and Jim Johnson, sisters: Betty Whitlatch, Leota Donaldson and Mary Ann Johnson and a son-in-law Tim Green.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.  Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit. Military Honors will be provided by the Salem AmVets.  Friends may send condolences and sign the guest register online at www.grfuneralhome.com.  Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home Sebring, OH (330) 938-2526.
