Fern Piersol

Fern Anita (Haidet) Piersol, 90, of Louisville and formerly of Canton passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Oak Hill Manor in Louisville. Born February 23, 1920 to the late Ethel Mae (Dickerhoof) and John Jacob Haidet in Beechwood. Fern worked as a Tube Inspector at B & W Tube Division during WWII, being one of the few remaining “Rosie the Riveters”; later she delivered flowers for Seidner’s Flowers and drove School Bus for Alliance City Schools. Survivors include her daughter Jewell (Robert) Norch, grandson Douglas, granddaughters; Laura and Heather and one great grandson John McKinney. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Adam Judson Piersol in 1952. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Beechwood Cemetery in Alliance.
