Fonda Cobbs

Fonda Lee Cobbs, 76, of Sebring, finally went home to be with her loving husband and son on Thursday Dec. 6, 2007 at Alliance Community Hospital. Fonda was born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 1, 1931 to the late Frederick Arthur & Fonda Marcine (Hendershot) Menges. She was a graduate of Sebring High School class of 1949,a member of the Ladies’ Aux. VFW Post 6730 the American Legion #76 Auxiliary, the Solon 336 8 and 40 club. She loved to play euchre and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Fonda is survived by 1 son Donald Cobbs Jr. of Canton; 4 daughters Kathy Coy of Florida; Karen Cobbs of Wooster; Connie (Tim) Gott of Atwater; Cheryl (Reo) Cobbs-Oblisk of Sebring; 5 grandchildren Shannon, Chuck, Brandi, Bobby, Donnie and 6 great grandchildren, Morgan, Jaydon, Payton, Gavin, Emre and Addison. She is also survived by three sister; Judy Williamson, Ora Jean Everett, Julia Rose and two brothers; Tom Menges and Paul Menges. Fonda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald in 1994 and son Daryl Cobbs. Services will be held at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home on Tuesday December 11 at 11:30 AM with Pastor Matt Lowe officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made in Fonda’s memory to the “Cancer Fund” c/o VFW Post 6730 Ladies’ Auxiliary.
