Frances A. Stryffeler, 91, of Sebring, passed away on June 10, 2013 at Hospice House. Frances was born on June 25, 1921 in Sebring, the daughter of the late John and Lydia (Daryman) Stephenson. She worked as a finisher for Gem Clay Pottery. Frances was a member of the Sebring United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and the Friendship Circle of the church. Survivors include her three sons, Michael (Kass) Maiden of San Diego, CA, Tom (Linda) Stryffeler of Sebring, Leonard (Jill) Stryffeler of Alliance; daughter Susan (Warren) Burd of Sebring; a daughter-in-law Evelyn Maiden of San Diego, CA; nine grandchildren, Judy Christensen, Christine Maiden, Jaime Veeder, Adam Stryffeler, Ryan Burd, Aaron Burd, Marc Fonner, Jennie Stachowski, Michael Stryffeler; four great grandchildren. She was also survived by two sisters Ramona Greenawalt of Sebring and Marjorie Allcorn of Alliance. Besides her parents she was preceded in her husband Homer C. on July 10, 2003, two brothers John and Charles and a son Gary Maiden. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home on Friday June 14, 2013, officiated by Rev. Norma Bates and Rev. George Schreckengost. Friends may call from 1-3 PM and 6-8 PM on Thursday June 13, 2013 with the family present from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park.
