Frank Sheffer

Frank O. Sheffer, 85, of Salem, and formerly of the Beaver Falls, PA area passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Salem Community Hospital. Frank was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania on August 7, 1924 the son of the late Horace and Myrl F. (Fox) Sheffer. He was a US Army Veteran serving during WWII and the Korean War. Mr. Sheffer worked for the US Postal Service and was an active member of Salem First United Methodist Church. Frank was a member of the Columbiana County Historical Society and the Explorers Club. Mr. Sheffer leaves behind his wife of 61 years Sally (Krauss) Sheffer whom he married on March 29, 1949, a son Timothy K. (Christine) Sheffer of Rush, NY; a brother Thomas F. Sheffer of Tulsa, OK; a sister Carolyn Fondrk, of Chesterland, OH. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Harry. Services will be held at Brown Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 11:00AM with Rev. P. Douglas George officiating. Friends may call Monday April 5, 2010 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
