Fred Burchfield

Fred H. Burchfield, 96, of Sebring passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Community Care Center in Alliance. Fred was born in Alabama on August 22, 1914 the son of the late Fred H. and Essie Ruth (Arnold) Burchfield; he was a graduate of Ensley High School in Birmingham, AL and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Alliance and the Sebring Masonic Lodge. Fred was known as a jack of all trades, throughout his life he had many interests; he was an owner of an auto sales lot, a lumber yard and a variety store in Sebring, he also was a carpenter working with his friend Don Santee. Survivors include his two cousins; Jessica Dianne (Arnold) Lippeatt of West Blockton, AL, and Juanita D. (Arnold) Owings of Centreville, AL. Services will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Alliance with Jody Csaki officiating. Burial will take place in Grandview Cemetery in Sebring. Friends may call at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 6-8 PM with a Masonic Service at 5:30PM. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
