Galen Culler

Galen Clark Culler, 81, of Beloit passed away on Monday, July 29, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Canton on January 23, 1932, the son of the late Beulah VanVoorhis. Galen worked as a pipe fitter for Columbia Gas and was known by many working with West Branch School’s maintenance department. Galen enjoyed being and working his with friends, especially Brian. He liked to go camping with his family, golf, bowling, billiards and shuffleboard. Survivors include, two daughters Diane Markle of Westerville, OH, Linda Murphy of Damascus, a son Daryl Culler of Beloit, 11 grandchildren; Andrew, Elizabeth, Sarah, Elijah Markle, Hannah (Ben) Mars, Josh (Renee) McDonald, Travis (Candice) McDonald, Dakota Murphy, Courtney Culler, James (Haley) Culler, Nicole (Eric) Stull, seven great grandchildren Maria, Sophia & Jackson McDonald, Gage, Madison & Mya Definbaugh, and Marcie Stull. He is also survived by a brother Richard (Cheryl) VanVoorhis. Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Darlene L, (Steele) Culler whom he married on January 22, 1956 and who died on October 27, 2011. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 11:00AM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home in Sebring. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday August 1, 2013 from 6-8 PM and the hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park.
