OBITUARY
Garnet Hickman
Garnet Eileen Hickman, 92 of Guilford Lake, passed away on March 26, 2015 at Blossom Nursing Home of Salem. Garnet was born in Caldwell, Ohio on September 24, 1922, the daughter of the late Clerence and Frances (Vaughn) Hupp. She worked as a press worker at Alliance Manufacturing and as a dairy farmer for 35 years. Garnet was a member of the Threshingfloor Christian Ministry and Tri County Church of God. She played keyboard, enjoyed sewing, shopping, crocheting, and cooking. She will be greatly missed and loved by her family.
Survivors include her sons, Howard Melvin Hickman Jr. of Guilford Lake and Rick (JoAnn) Hickman of Guilford Lake; two daughters, Marilyn Joan (Donnie) Reynolds of Georgia, and Brenda Eileen Bandy of Guilford Lake; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Howard Melvin Hickman Sr. who passed away on December 12, 2009, a daughter Diana Jill Levine, two brothers and five sisters.
A funeral service will be held on Monday March 30, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Pastor Frances Burkhart officiating. Friends may call the two hours prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park.
