Gary Lee Burrier, 65 of Alliance passed away with his family at his side, on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Canton. Gary was born in Alliance on October 22, 1944; he graduated from Alliance High School and was a US Marine Corps veteran serving in Vietnam in the Hqs. Company 9th Marine 3rd Regiment and the Macs 8th Division. Mr. Burrier retired from the B&W Tube Keystone Plant in 1999; he was a member of the Alliance American Legion, he enjoyed yearly reunions with Marine comrades of the 3rd regiment and Macs 8 Division, going to Mountaineer, NASCAR racing especially Jimmie Johnson, but most important was being with his family and friends at gatherings. Survivors include; his mother Mary O. Burrier, his wife Cynthia L. (Betz) Burrier, a son Michael Jon Burrier, a daughter Mrs. Greg (Brenda) Kale all of Alliance. He is also survived by three grandchildren; Eryn, Michael and Samantha Burrier all of Alliance, sisters Mrs. Thomas (Mary Lou) Nieman of Sebring, Mrs. Patricia (Davey) Collins of Alliance, Ms. Sandra Bradon of Alliance and Mrs. Edward (Edna) Peteya of Lakemore. Gary was preceded in death by his father Kenneth E. Burrier and a brother Clarence E. Burrier. A Memorial Service will be held on May 3, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Sebring with Pastor James White Officiating.
