Gary Gandee, 77, of Alliance passed away at his home on Sunday, August 15, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Gary was born in Leon, West Virginia on May 22, 1944 to the late Cary and Macel (Underwood) Gandee. Gary work for the Alliance Street Department retired after 30 years of service. Gary enjoyed being outdoors working in his orchard, gardening, hunting, farming and working on tractors. He liked to do woodworking and making various pieces of furniture. His family was most important and he cherished the time spent with his family especially his grandchildren.
Gary is survived by his wife Nora (Dowdy) Gandee who he married June 14, 1966; children Christina (Christopher) Minich; Cynthia (Wade) Caufield Jr. and Jennifer Foor; four grandchildren Zachary Minich, Haley Foor, Addison Foor and Nora Caufield. Gary is also survived by sisters Margel Chapman and Edna Rollins; a brother Glen (Lina) Gandee and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Gary was preceded in death by a sister Janet; brother Darrell; sister-in-law Pat and brother-in-laws George and Henry.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home, Sebring Chapel with Pastor Sam Gandee officiating. Friends and family will be received two hours prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Grandview Cemetery in Sebring.
