Gary F. Tennefoss, 71 of North Benton passed away at his home on Monday, March 24, 2014. Gary was born in Painesville, Ohio on September 1, 1942 the son of the late Joseph Charles and Frances (Bean) Tennefoss. He was a US Army veteran serving in Vietnam and he retired from American Steel as Superintendent of Building and Equipment. Mr. Tennefoss was a member of the New Beginnings Fellowship Church, a member of the Sebring VFW, the NRA and enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years Norma Jean (Mojzer) of North Benton whom he married on June 24, 1968, two sons; Gary C. (Tamara) Tennefoss and James D. (Dawn) Tennefoss both of North Benton, 3 grandchildren, Sarrah Dawn Tennefoss, Korben James Tennefoss and Maggie Renee Tennefoss. He is also survived by a brother Joseph (Patricia) Tennefoss of Alliance and a sister Beulah Mace of Berlin Center, 4 nieces, 1 nephew 3 great nieces and 1 great nephew.
A Private Service will be held on Thursday with Pastor Tommie Nicholas officiating, burial will take place at Deerfield Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Salem Honor Guard.
