George Ward Jr

George W. Ward, 72 of Beloit, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, November 8, 2013. George was born in Alliance on November 11, 1940 the son of the late George and June (Burford) Ward Sr. He worked as a Mill Wright for Alliance Steel Products for 45 years. Mr. Ward enjoyed hunting, fishing, fixing all kinds of things and especially enjoyed spending his time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Clara (McNeal) Ward of Beloit whom he married on July 7, 1983, four sons; Mike (Joan) Doak of Sebring, Gerry (Cheryl) Ward of Greenwitch, OH, Bob (Bobbie) Ely of Limaville, Chad Ely of West Virginia, four daughters; Lisa Goss of Ft. Myers, FL, Dawn (Wesley) Campbell of Statesville, NC, Stacey Ely of Beloit, and Angie (John) Miller of Texas. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, a brother Jack Ward, and two sisters; Ramona Straight and Terry White. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by 3 sons; Nick, Kevin and Timothy.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Gednetz-Ruzek funeral home in Sebring. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00-2:00 PM.
