Gertrude Johnston

Gertrude “Trudy” E. Johnston 86 of Sebring, passed away on Friday, October 03, 2014 at Crandall Medical Center. Trudy was born in Rochester, PA on March 4, 1928 the daughter of the late Charles and Lenora (Ruby) Krepps. She was a 1946 graduate of Rochester High School and worked for over ten years at the Millersburg Castle. She enjoyed reading and attending Bible Study but especially liked to spend time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her two daughters; Grace (Bill) Williams of Sebring, Janet (Denny) Vance of Alliance and a son Robert W. Johnston Jr. of Alliance, 9 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two siblings; Charles Krepps of Hartstown, PA and Barbara Schwenk of Yakima, WA. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a ten month old daughter Linda in 1949.
A service will be held at Gednetz-Ruzek funeral home in Sebring on Tuesday October 7, 2014 at 1:00 PM. With the Rev. Joanne Dota officiating Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday the hour prior to the service. Friends and family may sign the guestbook online at www.grfuneralhome.com.
