Gladys Goughnour

Gladys W. (Conrad) Goughnour 95, of Alliance died Monday evening at McCrea Manor after a five month illness. She was born in Homeworth, Ohio on Feb. 2, 1913 the daughter of the late Cregg Thomas and Florence Elizabeth (Benner) Conrad. Gladys was a member if the Alliance First Assembly of God for over 30 years and also participated in the Redeemed Sunshiners senior group. Mrs. Goughnour is survived by her four daughters; Lois (Harvey) Sizemore of Springfield, OH, Betty Bazzle of Columbia, SC, Marjorie (Lyle) Richmond of Sebring, OH, Carol Goddard of Lafayette, CO, a son, Thomas R. Goughnour of Canton, OH, 13 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 43 great great grandchildren and 16 great great great grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters; Evelyn Reustle of Alliance, OH, Viola Blanchard of Homeworth, OH, Mary Penny of Alliance, OH and two brothers; Olin Conrad and Dale Conrad both of Alliance, OH. Gladys was preceded in death by her; parents, her husband Paul K. Goughnour on July 3, 1979, four brothers, two sisters and four grandchildren. Services will be held on Friday, October 17, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Alliance First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Michael Ping officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the church. Burial will take place in East Nimishillen Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
