Glenda Yothers

Glenda Mae Yothers, 86, of Odenton and previously of Atlanta, Ga. and Beloit died Oct 21 at University Hospital in Baltimore after a brief illness. Born Jan. 16, 1920 in Beloit, Ohio, and the daughter of the late Guy C. and Edna Mae Stanley, Mrs. Yothers graduated from Salem, Ohio, Business College in 1939. She was a secretary for the West Branch school district in Maple Ridge. After moving to Atlanta she worked for Georgia State Financing and managed apartments for Cardinal Industries. She moved to Odenton six years ago and was a bookkeeper for a family vending business until it was sold in July. She was a member of Severn Christian Church in Severn. A soprano, she sang in a trio with family members on the radio in Ohio in her younger days, She also sang in church and local choirs wherever she lived. Surviving are her husband of 66 years, John B. Yothers, whom she married Aug. 31, 1940; a son, Stanley K. Yothers of Ormand Beach, Fla.; four daughters, Linda K.Rubin of Racine, Wis., Diane R. Baldwin of Montgomery Village, Kathy Jo Stadler of Odenton and Jill Ann Yothers of Ormand Beach; eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Tuesday Oct 31 at 2:00 PM at the Highland Memorial Park Chapel. Friends may call at Gednetz-Ruzek funeral Home on Tuesday from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM prior to the service. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. .
