Harold Hoopes

Harold E. Hoopes, 71, of Alliance passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Aultman Hospital. He was born in Salem on January 30, 1940 the son of the late Arlan and Evelyn (Scheoni) Hoopes; he worked at Whitacre Greer, attended Bethel Church a past member of the Moose Lodge and an avid sports fan. Survivors include his daughter Lynnette (Kevin) Boroff of Alliance, a son Dennis Hoopes of Alliance, a daughter LaVonda (Doug) Swain of Sebring, a daughter LaDonna (Chuck) Handy of Salem and a son Brian (Stefanie) Hoopes of Alliance. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and two brothers; Don Hoopes of Damascus, Buddy Hoopes of Beloit. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son Edward, a brother Robert Hoopes and a sister Marilyn Haynam. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 1:00PM at Gednetz-Ruzek funeral home with Pastor Steve Lowe officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 23rd from 6-8PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
