Harold Ramon Scott

H. Ramon Scott, 92 a resident of Beloit ,Ohio for over 60 years, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 following a short illness. Born February 11, 1928, the son of the late Harold Raymond and Viola L. (Urmson) Scott; after graduation from high school Ramon was drafted into the U.S. Army serving his country in the Korean War. After returning home, he obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees from Kent State and Youngstown State Universities, and began his career in public education. Ramon worked as a Bus Driver, Teacher, and Principal for West Branch Local Schools. Then worked as an Administrator for both Malvern Schools and Superintendent of Harrison Hills School District from which he retired.

After his retirement, he purchased Ashton's 5 & 10 in Sebring, Ohio. Ramon liked to keep busy and enjoyed helping others. In his spare time you could find him building and fixing things and out working on his yard. He enjoyed reading; a "lifelong learner" even after losing his sight he would listen to audiobooks. Ramon attended Beloit Friends Church and enjoyed listening to the services online. He loved his family and pets especially his dog Rusty.

Ramon is lovingly remembered by his wife Doris of 67 years whom he married on April 5, 1953. His children Mike (Barb) Scott, Mitch Scott, Melody Scott, a grandson Josh (Addie) and great-grandchildren J.J. and Josie. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Suzanne, and grandson Jake.

A Private Family Service will be held with Pastor Mark Reich officiating. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
