Harry W. âSkipâ Eckley, 61 of Sebring, passed away early Saturday morning, January 30, 2010 at his home. Skip was born in Salem on November 11, 1948 the son of the late Harry C. and Maxine M. (Wyss) Eckley. A Veteran he served as a US Navy SEAL and in the National Guard. Skip was a member of the Sebring Masonic Lodge, a member of the 32 degree Scottish Rite, Valley of Canton, he was an active participant in Civil War reenactments, he enjoyed horseback riding, working on computers, golfing and just spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth âLibâ (Peterson) Eckley of Sebring, a son Michael (Theresa) Seruch of Sebring, two daughters; Tiffany Seruch of Missouri, Stefani (Brian) Waseman of Beloit and four grandchildren; Adam Brown, Dante and Donovan Seruch and Emily Waseman. He is also survived by a brother Mark (Cheryl) Eckley of Stowe. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. P. Douglas George officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 2, 2010 from 6 to 8 PM, a Masonic Service will be held at 5:30 PM. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park in Beloit with military honors provided by the Salem AMVETS and VFW Honor Guard.
