Helen McEldowney, 96, of Sebring passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring. Helen was born in Beloit, on August 12, 1914 the daughter of the late Bernard and Eva (Clark) Schrader. Helen was a 1932 graduate of Beloit High School, a member of Smith Grange #1141 for over 25 years, a birth right member of Beloit Friends Church and was employed as a bookkeeper at Perkins Restaurant. Survivors include her five daughters; Dixie Courtney of Salem, June Little of Sebring, Susan (Michael) Postiy of Sebring, Bernadine (James) Bowser of Alliance, Elanna (Douglas) Hughes of Myrtle Beach, SC and two sons Willard (Dolores) McEldowney of Damascus and Wendell (Cara) McEldowney of Salem. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Willard Sr in 1963, a daughter Nancy Wright, a sister Mildred Barnett, a brother Donald Schrader and a grandson TJ Martin. A Private Family Burial will take place on Monday at Damascus Cemetery. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
