Helen Elizabeth (Flickinger) Shook
October 2, 1923 — November 14, 2016
Helen E. Shook, 93 of North Benton passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring. Helen was born in Berlin Center, Ohio on October 2, 1923 the daughter of the late Charles L. and Ethel R. (Jewell) Flickinger. She retired from the Sebring Container Company after 35 years in 1988; a member of the North Benton Presbyterian Church, enjoyed playing cards, bingo, puzzles, and in her later years adult coloring but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter Patricia (Russell) Miner of North Benton, 3 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James E. on December 10, 2000, her siblings; Mable Leech, Mary Grimes, Ray, Leonard, Betty Burrier, Dorothy Yeager, Clyde, Ralph and a granddaughter in law Peggy.
A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown funeral home at 11:00 AM with Pastor Herb Goetz officiating. A time of visitation will be held the hour prior to the service on Friday from 10-11AM. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
