Helen Stanley

Helen V. Stanley, 95, of Salem and formerly of North Benton passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Essex 1 in Salem. Helen was born in North Benton on August 22, 1915 the daughter of the late Chris and Mary (Swartz) Scheiben; she was a member of the Westville Congregational Church and worked at the Bettis Box Company in Sebring as a taper; she enjoyed making quilts and was a former 4H Leader and member of Smith Grange. Survivors include her daughter Alice Kelley of Rantoul,IL two grandsons Curtis N. (Tammy) Kelley of Rantoul, IL and Carl S. (Guo) Kelley of Tipp City, OH, a daughter in law Rhonda Stanley of North Benton, 6 great grandchildren, two step grandchildren Cherie Morris and Kami Morris and 4 step great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Norman Stanley on September 19, 1977, her son Norman “Fred” Stanley, and two sisters Celesta Helsel and Fredda Stanley. A Private Burial will take place at Hartzell Cemetery with a memorial service to be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
