Henry Paul Conny, 91 of Alliance passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Alliance Community Hospital. Henry was born in Sebring, Ohio on July 5, 1923 the son of the late Anthony and Beatrice (Dicato) Conny; he was a Army/Air Corps veteran and retired from Royal China and Alliance Machine in 1986. Mr. Conny was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church in Alliance, the Alliance Elks and Christopher Columbus; he was a semiprofessional bowler and Sebring Marble Champ.
Survivors include his daughter Janice (Jim) Menegay of Alliance, son in law Dan (Susan) Windle of Dublin, OH, four grandchildren; Jennifer, Jeremy, Torie, Kristina and four great grandchildren; Molly, Leah, Mya and Emma. He is also survived by three brothers; Jim, Tony and Don Conny and a brother in law Robert OBrien. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Margaret (Marini) Conny on July 31, 2014 whom he married on February 15, 1947, 2 sons Robert D. Conny and infant, a daughter Margaret Peggy Windle, and six siblings; Mike, Frank, Nick, Mary, Annie and Sandy.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday November 21, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alliance with Fr. Matthew Mankowski officiating, Military Honors will follow the service at the church provided by the Salem Honor Guard. Friends may call on Thursday from 6-8PM at Gednetz-Ruzek funeral home in Sebring.
