Hilda (Seeger) Spack

May 5, 1927 — October 30, 2017

Hilda (Seeger) Spack, 94 of Salem passed away at Auburn Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Monday, October 30, 2017.  Hilda was born on May 5, 1923 in Pforzheim, Germany, the daughter of the late Karl and Elisabeth (Sutter) Seeger.  Mrs. Spack was a graduate of Goshen High School, and worked as a Secretary at Gonda Engineering, Goshen Schools, Damascus Metals, Lyle Printing and Goshen Township.  Hilda was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Salem where she served on many committees. She was a member of the Salem Saxon Club where she served on the scholarship committee, the Ladies VFW Auxiliary, the Steel Valley Ex-POW Chapter 13 and the Damascus Garden Club.

Survivors include two daughters Carol (Donald) Kuner of Salem and Heidi Spack of Salem; three grandchildren Christian (Emily) Kuner, Sean (Debra) Kuner and Nicholas (Heather Pastore) Prislipsky; four great-grandchildren.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Eugene “Ike” on December 27, 2014, a son Ronald Edward.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church at 11:00 AM with Rev. Alan Smearsoll officiating.  Friends may call at Brown Funeral Home in Salem on Thursday November 2, 2017 from 6-8 PM. Burial will take place in Salem Grandview Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Hilda’s honor to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 251 South Broadway Ave. Salem, OH 44460 or The Saxon Club Scholarship Fund 1980 Newgarden Rd.
