Howard Neiswanger

Howard Edgar Neiswanger, 86 of Beloit passed away on December 9, 2012 surrounded by his family. Howard was born in Canton, Ohio on September 20, 1926 the son of the late Howard F. and Ida (Hofer) Neiswanger. He attended Alliance High School, a US Navy WWII Veteran and worked as a plasterer. He was a lifelong area resident and attended the East Goshen Friends Church, he was also a member of the Beloit Ruritan Club and advisor to the Beloit Explorers Post. He is survived by his four daughters; Vicki (Jim) Herold of Beloit, Valeria (David) Blake of Clinton, Cindy (Scott) Kurena of Beloit, Cheryl (Greg) Elder of Maryland, a brother Danny Neiswanger, two sisters Frances Faverty and Rose Mary Brandon, he is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Besides his parents and step-mother Martha Neiswanger he was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Ann (Wallace) Neiswanger, brothers Dale Neiswanger, Russ Clark, sisters Margaret Cain and Esther Yeagley. A funeral service will be held at East Goshen Friends Church on Thursday December 13, 2012 at 11:00am with Pastor Gerald Baker officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 12th from 6 to 8pm at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home and the half hour prior to service at the church. Burial will take place in East Goshen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Howard’s honor to the East Goshen friends Church. The Neiswanger Family would like to say a special thanks to the family and staff of the Davis Haven Home where Howard lived since April 2011.
