Ira Swiger

Ira E. Swiger, 64, of Salem, died Thursday, December 29th at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown. He was born April 16, 1941 in Guilford Lake to the late Golden and Mary (Moser) Swiger. Ira was employed by the American Fire Clay Company and the Owner/Operator of Swiger’s Lawn Service and was a member of Phillips Christian Church. He is survived by his Wife Mary Ann (Lipp) of Salem; his son Scott E. Swiger of Salem, 2 daughters Melissa Stires of Zanesville and Amy Gentile, a son Mike Swiger a son Steve Swiger all of Salem, and five grandchildren. Ira is also survived by three sisters. A Private Family Service will be held at the funeral home with burial taking place at Highland Memorial Park.
