Jack E. Holt, 70, of Salem passed away at his home on Sunday, January 22, 2012. He was born on January 12, 1942, in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of the late Flint and Hazel Holt. Mr. Holt started his welding career at Westinghouse and was chosen to weld the launch pads at Cape Kennedy; he then retired after 35 years in Skilled Trades at General Motors. Jack was an avid gardener and he took much pride in providing family and friends with an abundance of produce. Survivors include his wife Donna (McCord) Holt, along with five children; Tammy Romain, Traci (Ron) Duncan, Ally (Ron) Mineo, Timothy Holt and Kylie Holt; six grandchildren; Jeffery, Brittany, Taylor, Franny, Gina and Gabby and a great grandchild Aria. He is also survived by brothers and sisters. Per his request services include cremation with a memorial service to be held in the Spring.
