Jack Mather

Jack William Mather, 71, of Salem passed away on August 31, 2012 at Essex I of Salem. Jack was born on October 9, 1940 the son of Earl and Amelia (Ward) Mather; he was a Counselor for the Columbiana County Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation. Jack was a member of the Dodge brothers club, an avid fisherman, enjoyed woodworking and antique car restoration. Survivors include his parents, wife, Virginia of Salem, a daughter Roxanne Weber of Salem; two grandchildren, Bella Weber and Jax Weber. He is also survived by three brothers, Robert (Barb) Mather of Salem, Richard (Lynn) Mather of Colorado, Tom (Carmel) Mather of Salem; two sisters, Bonnie (John) Woodman of Michigan and Terri (Lee) McDonald of Beloit. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Laura Ward and Frank and Florence Mather. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday September 5, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Amey officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 from 4-8 PM with the family present from 6-8 PM. Burial will take place at Bunker Hill Cemetery in Goshen Township. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Jack’s honor to the Damascus Volunteer Fire Department PO Box 356, Damascus, OH 44619.
